ENROLMENT

General Enrolment Information

Lavalla Catholic College always welcomes inquiries from parents interested in obtaining information about the College enrolment process.

When a child is attending a non-Catholic primary school in Grade 5 there is an option of placing that child's name on a register, which allows information to be automatically forwarded at the appropriate times.

Our usual process of supporting our Catholic primary schools is to automatically accept any students currently enrolled there in Grade 6, as well as the siblings of any current Lavalla students who may be enrolled in a non-Catholic primary school. When all these applications have been processed at the end of May each year, the College is in a position to ascertain if any other places are available. These are offered firstly to Catholic children in non-Catholic schools and then to non-Catholics in non-Catholic schools. Families in these latter categories attend an interview before being offered positions.

To help families make the important choice of secondary schooling we hold Information Nights and an Open Morning at each Campus in May. All interested people are welcome to attend either or both of these events. This provides an opportunity for parents to see the connection between the Parish, Primary and Secondary Catholic schools in the Latrobe Valley.

Families in the Traralgon, Morwell, Churchill and outlying areas are invited to St Paul's Campus, families in the Moe, Newborough and outlying areas are invited to Presentation Campus.
