Student Leadership Teams
As school leaders of Lavalla Catholic College we see ourselves as role models for our fellow students as well as a link between students and staff. We provide a voice for all students of the school community, whether it is to listen to their problems or their suggestions for school improvement. We then work with the Campus and College Leadership
Teams help promote and implementation of these ideas. The introduction of the new leadership structure has seen us face numerous challenges, all of which have helped develop our leadership abilities.
Each of us have our own area of responsibilities which consist of smaller sub-groups. These areas of responsibility are:
-
Mission Leader: Liturgy, Social Justice, Fundraising
-
Events Leader: Welcome, Public Speaking, Promotions
-
Mentor Leader: Peer Support, Environment, Campus Life
-
House and Sport Leader:Champagnat,Nagle,MacKillop,Delany
Our main aims this year are to successfully establish the new leaderhip structure and to continue to raise awareness about the new structure throughout the campus.
This year we have worked more closely with the leaders of the Presentation and St Paul's campuses so as to ease the transition between campuses. This extra effort at communication improves the unity shared between the three campuses of the college.
It is a great honour for all of us and has given us the opportunity to exercise our full leadership potential. It has enabled us to take on a large active role within the college, which we hope will benefit the college in the near and distant future.
