At Lavalla Catholic College we take to heart the inspiring words of Marcellin Champagnat, the founder of the Marist brothers, that to “ ... educate children is to love them and to love them all equally”. Writing over 150 years ago, Marcellin understood what every teacher knows, that teaching and learning are about forming a strong relationship with each individual built on trust, respect and love.
