VET

Lavalla Catholic College offers a wide range of VET studies to students. Year 10 students can chose from on campus options in the areas of Multi Media, Business Administration, Outdoor Recreation, Building and Construction and Hospitality. At Year 11 there is a wide choice encompassing on campus delivery and off campus courses delivered by outside providers one day a week. A student levy is charged for both on campus and off campus courses with the College subsidising the fees for off campus study. VET certificates can form part of both VCE and VCAL study programs. The majority of VET courses at a Certificate II level are classified as VCE/VET and attract a study score that can be included when calculating a student’s ATAR [Australian  Tertiary Admission Rank, formerly ENTER].  Selected VET modules also form part of the Applied Learning subjects at Years 9 and 10.
